Remote UI3

Post by aherrmann »

Since upgrading to BI5 I am not able to connect via browser to the Blue Iris web interface from outside the network. Everything else is working fine, including all other remote accessible applications. And, my phone is able to connect via the android app both internally and externally. Anyone else having these issues?

Go into the BI settings/Webserver, and make sure there are not any addresses blocked.

I know some early versions of the Blue Iris 5 installer did not always properly convert Blue Iris 4 web server settings to reflect Blue Iris 5. So, it's possible this may be the cause of why web server access using UI3 is not working. I would verify that "Root" says "C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 5\www" in Blue Iris Settings -> Web server tab and not "C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 4\www".

In the event Blue Iris blocked the IP address of the PC running Blue Iris, go into Blue Iris Settings -> Web server -> Advanced and remove the IP address that is blocked under "Limit IP addresses".

You could also try running Remote Access Wizard. This may clear up any Windows firewall rules that are preventing web server access using UI3 in your LAN and WAN through your router.
