Picture looks great in view-- AI is getting the photo with yellow spots

Post by wpiman »

So I am getting some poor AI detection despite having some pretty damn crisp photos of some license plates. This first picture- a plate went by and it was missed. If you look at the Alert AI-- the image is in yellow and it doesn't get read.

Picture 2 is the same frame paused.. The AI is able to read it with a 95% confidence rating....

I have Zone detection set with Zone A being shown in green, and B and C in blue and red. I use B and C to determine direction from the MQTT message. That works great.

Any idea why this picture looks so crappy when getting sent to the AI, but looks great in the BVR file?

This goes away when I turn off object detection.... I think it is a bug.

Hi, that's got to be deliberate, or "it's a function, not a bug"

Does it happen on any other cameras DAT files ? I'll have a dig through settings to see if I can make it do that.

If I turn off the "motion rectangles" in the AI debug window-- they go away!

I am left with just the raw picture!

Thanks to Ken for a quick reply!
