Alerts

Post by Lusk »

I have around 300,000 jpegs which is causing issues with cloud storage. Can I stop an alert imagine being generated and are there any downsides to doing this?

I don’t generate or save alert images, is this something that happens or is needed if you use AI, which I don’t use?

Yes. Your basic 'brute force' method of eliminating the alert images while maintaining clip generation..., and being a little snarky.

Management of the .jpgs themselves is fairly clear in the Record menu and also in the Trigger menu in the 'When Triggered' options (in terms of storage preferences). I'm sure there are probably other areas as well.

The three main movement/storage options for jpgs as I understand them; (not including being used in actual alerts)

Does disabling this have an effect on Sentry not working?
