More Items (Clip Viewer)

Post by kramttocs »

Does the More Items (folded map looking icon) auto hide for anyone else?
I can click it and it fills up the screen but then folds back in without action on my part after a second or two.

Seeing the same with Show/Hide the Clips option.

I've just checked both, and they are working normally here with BI v5.8.2.2.

That's odd. I am also on 5.8.2.2 with Windows 11. Running as a service.

Also noticed that the Databox box in the bottom left does the same. I can click the X but then it shows right back up. This happens if in full screen or windowed mode. Haven't found a way yet to make the changes stick so that the panes are hidden.

Is it possibly an issue with your mouse; I am running 5.8.2.2 and it works fine for me?

Good idea. I have 3 monitors and the newest is a touchscreen. Perhaps it is causing this. I'll unplug it and retest. Mouse is a Kensington trackball.

This was my fault. Spoke to support and was informed that if the drives have issues (overallocation), then BI basically forces the clip and DB window to show in order to alert you.
I was in the process of shuffling drives so the main storage was overallocated.
Finished the drive move, rebuilt the db so it's green across the board and now I can show/hide these panes and they 'stick'.

Thanks all!

I don't think we would have figured that one out ! It does show that checking the basics and adding the Log to the thread might have sped things up. Well done and thanks for responding :D
