Setup with Netcam Studio on PC - I have some specs but no luck

Post by jerkychew »

I'm running BI 5 at my house, with several network cameras connected. I have Netcam Studio ("NCS") installed on my Windows PC with a USB camera. I'm trying to add the NCS instance as a camera in BI. I almost get there but can't quite get a connection. In the NCS forums they talk about connecting to the NCS instance as a camera, but they don't quite give me all the information I need. When I find/inspect with Blue Iris it does connect but no autoconfiguration is done. I was hoping somebody could help me get down the last mile on this setup.

The stream is on port 8100 and I'm running as user test password test. I am able to connect and stream from VLC via the URL: http://test:test@192.168.2.22:8100/live/0 but entering any combination of that URL in Blue Iris only results in sadness. A page over at https://community.netcamstudio.com/t/ho ... er/1199/13 shows the settings to connect to NCS from another NCS instance but unfortunately the settings aren't 1:1. I'll attach the important configuration screenshot from that thread.

Any help would be appreciated!

VLC would have been my tool of choice too. Does ODM show anything useful ?
