Integration of 4G / LTE Webcam via VPN - Stuttering

Post by DasMoritz »

Hello everyone,

I have a question about how to integrate a remote IP camera into BlueIris.

The IP camera (Reolink RLC520) is connected to a remote warehouse via a FritzBox using LTE / 4G via VPN to my home FritzBox. I can integrate the camera into BlueIris, but the data transfer over LTE / 4G and 25 Mbps upload speed is very slow and unstable, resulting in stuttering in the recording.

How can I configure BlueIris to prevent this?

My current workaround is to use an integrated SD card in the RLC520 and write the data to my local FTP server after recording. However, this is not an integrated solution that would fit into my BlueIris environment.

Is there a meaningful configuration in BlueIris to transfer data from the camera's SD card when something is detected?

Thank you from Germany,
Moritz
