BI 5 continuing to crash

Randomly shutting down for no reason. Anyone have a similar experience or a solution? Running most recent release(5.4.9.9) but this has been happening with at least two prior releases. No issues with PC or anything else that is running.

Have not had this issue, running 5.4.9.8 as we speak but upgrading to 5.4.9.10 by the time this post is live.

Anything in Windows Event Logs?

Yup, that needs a deep dive. Not had any trouble here with two licenced copies of BI5 running on very different hardware.

I'm having the same problem at v 5.4.9.3. Using the Windows Reliability monitor, I've seen 6, 24, or even 81 crashes a day recently. I backed the version down to 5.4.7.11 today to see if that makes any difference, but won't know for a couple of days.

I'm running this on a Dell R230 with Windows 10/21H1 with 8GB of memory. I've got 6 cameras, and CPU is running about 5-10%, RAM about 800M. This has become a problem in the last several weeks only - we only noticed it in last week or so. There are no other indications of driver issues, or anything else weird going on. It may be unrelated, but the crashes seem to have gotten much more frequent after the KB5003537 .NET update on 7/17.

Just putting this out there for information. We're working around with a scheduled powershell script to restart the service when it crashes if needed.

The developer said there was a serious memory issue in 5.4.9.4 that was fixed in 5.4.9.5. I'm not sure if that problem was present for earlier versions, but I'd recommend you update to at least 5.4.9.5 and see if it fixes this problem.

Still seeing this issue at 5.4.9.10 - not as bad, after two days at 5.4.9.10 only 6 or 7 crashes a day, but still an issue. See typical crash info below if it helps......

The same thing happened to me starting about a week ago. I did nothing but it started crashing. I have gone through new versions, old versions. Same difference. It is completely unusable at this point.
FWIW I'm not a windows guy at all. I'm thinking something in the os updated or something, but I don't have the wherewith to diagnose and fix. In a few hours I am just going to reinstall everything again from scratch, as the Event Manager seems to be broken as well now.
