Does Deepstack need motion alerts?

Post by norwestie »

When I set up each camera for deepstack, do I need to select motion detection in the BI camera setup page?

I believe so. When I tried DS with my Dahua doing the motion detection itself and giving BI5 only an Onvif trigger DS did nothing. One of the forum members pointed out that DS needed an Alert image to process, which I clearly didn't have. It seemed so obvious

I'm out of the DS testing at the moment as it gives me a black screen and shuts the pc down after a while. And I tried it twice :(

My install works with both Onvif triggers and regular BI motion alerts.
However when I was testing with cloned cameras the Onvif triggers weren't working with it for some reason, I think someone posted a solution to that but I can't remember where.
