Service randomly keeps stopping

My Blue iris version 5.3.9.15 keep randomly keeps stopping on me. I am able
to go into Services on my Windows 2019 server and restart it and it starts
working again. This has been happening for the last week or two. I ran
maintenance on the clips data last Friday an it seemed to be working better
but yesterday day afternoon it stopped again so I restarted it again but
sometime during the night it stopped again. Getting very frustrating

This has been happening consistently for at least the last year for me. I just noticed that my service stopped 3 days ago. No wonder I wasn't getting any notifications. When the service does stop, it always happens overnight, when I need/want it running most. I'm not sure what they've been doing, but whatever it is BI has become incredibly unstable and not fit for a reliable security solution. I'm currently looking for an alternative because they've fubared this thing to no end and I'm tired of having to babysit it.

As a work around, you can set a Windows Service to restart automatically upon failure.

Didn;t know this could be done in services. I'll need to check that out.

Another option is to use 'Blue Iris Tools' Watchdog to restart the server if it stops.
