Testing Clip moves from New to Stored to AUX1

Post by bigbillsd »

I am trying to determine if I have my clip movement setup correctly so I can happen when it needs to. Is there any way to force a file move from new to stored and then to my Aux 1 system? -Bill

Hi,

If you mean in the same way that files are moved from 'New' to 'Stored', then yes. I presently have 'Stored' set to delete files when that drive reaches the 'Limit size' I have set, but the 'Stored - Delete' setting can be changed from 'Delete' to ' Move to folder' in the same way as 'New' to 'Stored' does it.

You can add a folder on any drive, and add it via the folder selector. You are best to select an unused folder on the left first, such as 'Aux1', which can then be renamed with a long left mouse click if required.

The usual caveat would apply, about keeping 'New' and 'Database' on a fast drive.

Yes, its all setup as specified in the subject line, but I was thinking there would be a way to test the setup by moving test files thru it to make sure everything is setup correctly with permissions and network connections. I moved the timings down two one day each as I couldn't see a test method. I was asking if there was a quick way to test it from front to back. -Bill
