Unable to Connect Bosch Cameras

Post by duncanellison »

I have 4 Bosch Cameras and one Bosch Video Encoder:

AUTODOME JR 800 HD (CPP3)
FLEXIDOME IP starlight 7000 VR (CPP4)
FLEXIDOME IP micro 5000 HD (CPP4)
FLEXIDOME IP starlight 6000 VR (CPP7)
Videojet X20

Of these, only the first one works OK. It was easy to configure with Blue Iris and pretty much worked out of the box. However, I've been trying for weeks to get any of the others to work properly.

None of these or even close relatives are listed, in the camera list which is odd considering how many Bosch cameras are out there.

The main issue I'm hitting is that I can only get Error:8000007a(Check Port/User/Password)0. I'm absolutely certain that the usernames and passwords are correct.

By paying for a full commercial product, I expected this is be easier, so far, I'm not impressed.

Can someone help me with this please?

I would try running the ONVIF manager program to see what cameras it discovers and what port they are using. I would make sure that port(s) is open in the firewall.

Hello Lou, thanks for the tip.

By "ONVIF manager program", do you mean the 'Find/Inspect" button in the camera configuration section.

If so, this is what I get:

Opening 192.168.100.166 port 80...
HTTP Get / request...
OK
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime

Foscam FI9821 V2 compatible?
Foscam FI9821 media port compatible?
Cantonk port 34567?

Done

But that's not really helping me.

No, I meant the ONVIF device manager.

Seems like I read that some of them might be hybrid, is there a setting for analog versus digital?

Can you tell me if you were ever able to get your Bosch cameras to work with Blue Iris? I have 2 Bosch VG5-7130 7000HD cameras for outdoor use and can't even tell you disappointed I am to find that neither of them will work with Blue Iris thus far. It seems to go through the BI camera configurator just fine with no errors (no BAD RESPONSE as you were getting) but there is still "No Signal" after I SAVE and CLOSE the setup. The surprising thing is that I was actually able to get my Synology NAS unit to immediately see and setup the Bosch camera through its freebie surveillance package. For setup I simply chose "Bosch", gave it the IP and camera password and it just worked but this not an option for me as my whole world runs through BI.

Please tell me if you were able to solve this very disappointing outcome. In the mean time have a Happy New Year ahead.

Did anyone get the FLEXIDOME IP micro 5000 HD to work? I'm looking at possibly getting a few used ones but not sure if they will work in blue iris.
