I'm reconfiguring my BlueIris setup to reduce size / power consumption.
I'll be putting a smaller SSD NAS drive in the unit.
I want to then archive the footage every 3-5 days to my NAS.
My NAS isn't always on so I am curious how BlueIris schedules things, what happens if it fails to find the drive, etc?
I will probably schedule based on size or clip age. I can get about 5 days of footage on the SSD so might offload every 3 (for example).
What happens if blueIris tries and the NAS is offline, will it try again later?
What if the drive becomes full, will it run over quota until it can offload? e.g. if I set it to move at 250GB but have a 500GB drive does that give me headroom?
Can I manually schedule a task outside of blueIris or will this screw up the blueIris database?

Re: archiving to NAS (Move to)
I use an internal Storage drive, so can't really answer that one, but I **think** BI5 will fail if it cannot find the NAS drive - I believe it will only try to move files if it has been triggered by size or clip age.My NAS isn't always on so I am curious how BlueIris schedules things, what happens if it fails to find the drive, etc?
Send a query to support and see what they think.
