After record search

Post by Ferguson »

I think the answer is "not there" but just in case I missed it...

I record continuously and keep about 30 days worth. I have triggers set up to identify certain types of motion, e.g. people or cars approaching the house. Works fairly well.

Sometimes however I will find something occurred in a specific but different spot. I might then want to search for motion in a specific area of a specific camera, an area not in the trigger at the time recorded.

I know some other NVR's can do that, searching in a highlighted area for motion in recorded video.

Is there anything similar in Blue Iris? Any way for me to say "search this area on this day(s) and show me all motion"?

Current example: dead shrub probably from overspray of roundup, I want to get video of when the landscapers were spraying, which could be any time over several days. That's hard to find at present.

There is no after record search in BI.

You can send an email to BI support. The more suggestions they get like this, the better.
