New Guy Question

Post by josua70 »

I have read the help file on recording video xxxx many times and still can't get it right. I want it to start recording when motion is detected and stop when there is no motion. Please tell me there is an easy way to do this. Currently, it detects motion, starts recording video, then keeps recording after. Example, 5 minutes video, then 2 hrs recording nothing! Don't know if I'm stupid or brain dead. Need advice.

Did you get this straightened out?

If not, scfreen shots of the following would be helpful...
- Trigger
- Motion Sensor, Object detection
- Record

You can check what is triggering (and re-triggering) your existing video by using the "Test Run Video Through Motion Detector" function. That may give you a clue to what is happening here.
