Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
I know Reolink have "issues" with BI5, but a new POE doorbell that does ONVIF and RTSP ? Have a look HERE and let me know what you think.
It's all a bit weird, it seems to be saying "wouldn't it be good if it had ONVIF and RTSP", but the spec sheet only shows this:
Is it April the 1st again ?

Re: Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
Well if that is true then the hard wired WIFI version must be real too
I don't have ethernet to the front door, but I do have old fashioned bell wire and an illuminated switch, so that could work for me if it is real. I will contact Reolink and ask the ONVIF/RTSP question, as their web site really doesn't make it clear.

OK, step one completed. Let's see how long it takes Reolink Support to answer my query for full spec sheets for both of these cameras. I don't want smoke and mirrors, I want a clear view with ONVIF/RTSP

Re: Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
Has this product been released anywhere yet ? Certainly not in the UK. Has anybody been able to test it with BI5 ?

It's not released yet...I did sign up for a notification email when it is released. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it's anywhere near decent, so we'll see...

Re: Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
Sounds like a good option for me if it will fit in the narrow space I have for a doorbell. I setup four of the Reolink E1 pro cameras, a few weeks ago, with Blue Iris. And, so far, they have been rock solid with BI. So if this door bell camera is similar, that would be great.

Re: Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
I got the Foscam DBW5 to try out and so far it seems pretty good, what everyone has been waiting for: a doorbell cam with wired Ethernet.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093WBF4MD (about $120 US)
It has hardwired Ethernet through a USB-C connector as well as both 2.4 and 5Ghz wifi. The front panel looks darn near break-proof under normal use. I left it plugged in for a few days and it worked just fine, barely got warm.
I'm using the Foscam VMS software to tweak it and I'd say it has a good interface; it lets you tweak practically every setting there is, set schedules, key frames, control external stuff, etc.

Re: Reolink POE ONVIF/RTSP doorbell camera ?
Well the Reolink is still vapourware, so there is no progress there.
I'm surprised they haven't given me one to test with BI5. Hint hint
