A couple of questions:

How much space have you allocated to "Alerts" and what happens when that is full ? I didn't see a screen shot for that.
Of the used space on Drives D and the NAS, how much of this is the "Blue Iris" folder and files within?

In addition, we were just notified that BI lost the config of 2 cameras and it appears that at least 1 camera config was placed onto another camera. Could DB corruption cause that?
DB corruption is usually just errors rather than moving data elsewhere. Just wondering - have you exempted the BI5 folders from anti-virus scan as detailed in the Help file ? (Search for "SECURITY SOFTWARE EXEMPTIONS."). And do you have the Log file writing to a text file ? It only makes one file per month, and it may show something when it attempts to move files. It's much better than the standard Log, as that amalgamates similar errors rather than leaving them in time related positions.

Same issue here.

I've just upgraded to 5.7.9.12.

I have some decent monitoring on the free space so should be able to see quickly if it resolves the issue.

See my post here. I think this is fixed in v5.7.9.12, and it has probably been causing issues for quite a few versions.

Thanks and confirmed. Update to that version has resolved the issue. No issues in the last 12 hours. File movement and space reallocation all working as expected.

Just send me a cheque for $1,000,000

This was a good example of an issue that has likely been around for a long time. There will be a specific set of circumstances that trigger this. Ken was able to find the problem with me running a test version of software, and sending lots of Log files.

Is BI not supposed to take care of this automatically? That's why we set usage limits.
I have the same issue, and I am now having "DRIVE(S) OVERALLOCATED!" errors.
I am a new user with a new install.

This is on a 4TB drive G: with almost 200GB Free, and I am limiting its usage to 3800.

It's very odd. Any suggestions?
Already done the rebuild/repair/etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

With a 4TB drive you’ll only get around 3.6/3.7Tb usable space so maybe you have actually over allocated?
