For BI5 itself, I have the LAN IP being the normal local LAN, and the WAN is empty. There is no No-IP or DDNS, no port forwarding or VPN, just a local ZeroTier LAN that isn't really local 8-)

I think I'm understanding ZT.
Question: what happens when your ISP public address changes? (Which it will)

Good point, but I can tell you it has been working for over a year here now with a dynamic WAN IP, so I can only assume it's part of the magic.
