Minor glitch

I noticed that BI wouldn't start the download for the latest update. Clicking the upgrade button did nothing, no effect.

Restarting BI and clicking the upgrade button again got it to continue. Not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

Also, this bug is still appearing:

The "Stopping BI service" notice will sit there indefinitely until someone manually closes the "Connection lost" dialog box behind it.

Does anybody else see this issue, or is it only Thixotropic ? Let us know !

I have two licensed copies of BI5 running as a service now. One on an Intel cpu, and the other on an AMD cpu. I still don't see this "stopping BI service" issue.

I wonder if it is anything to do with your anti virus solution :?

I'm not running any AV except what comes with Windows.

There was another person who mentioned seeing the "stopping service" issue but I suspect it's something that's config specific for certain combinations of gear and timing.

When I upgraded last I saw the connection lost message on one of my servers but not the other and they where running the same version. It didn't seem to want to continue the upgrade until I closed the dialog box like he reported in the other post.

I've never seen it before... BI as a service but only one system to speak of currently.

I updated both servers again today and no issue with either so I'm guessing that message will only come up in very specific instances that most people hopefully won't run across.
