Format drive

Post by RBauto »

Hi

I need to format my hard drive and was wondering how to transfer my license to the new drive.

  • Export and save your BI settings (recommended).
  • Click the Deactivate button in the About tab in the main menu to to deactivate your BI key.
  • Format your HDD.
  • Reinstall BI, re-enter your license key.
I think that should be all you need to do.

If you 'loose' your drive with Blue Iris and do not have a backup of your settings then when you install it on the new drive you can just enter your ID and BI registration number and it will activate. It will cancel the activation of the former setup.
