Is Live Streaming Possible?

I wish I could say it was going well but I didnt have good results with using BI as the encoder. I encountered a LOT of stuttering. I'm not sure why, as the CPU load with all of my cameras running is only around 10-12%. At the time, I did have a platter hard drive and I just rebuilt the computer with the OS and BI on an SSD drive. Maybe that'll get me a result. I'll try again and let everyone know my result and the specs on my computer.

Another issue I have ran into, which I believe is not BI-related, is the stream time for the livestreams with youtube. When I use my synology NAS, I use the "Live Broadcast" app to do the encoding and feed to youtube. With that config, I can stream for 12hrs and then the stream ends even if I have DVR disabled on youtube. I started experimenting with using OBS to do the encoding instead but the stream doest make it 12hrs and instead dies usually around 4hrs. Anyways, this is not BI related. I'm surprised how little info I have been able to find online about setting up a continuous livestream. Lots of blogs and videos about how to livestream but they seem to focus on setting one up but not how to keep it running. And then of course there are sites that you can hire to run your streams for a lot of money. This is only a hobby to me though.

To help others, I have confirmed that Youtube does not allow a stream longer than 12hrs. The 24/7 nature or airport livestreams that are common on youtube are done by companies that (somehow) have an account set up with youtube to allow a 24/7 stream. Of course doing this for my own family/friends to show wildlife around my property isn't financially reasonable.

I'm going to look for other platforms to livestream to but one of my requirements is that it needs to be accessable from TV/roku/firestick/appleTV. I'll try to remember to post back here anything more I find.
