10TB online for $5

Post by Thixotropic » Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:32 pm

In case you've considered getting some cloud storage/backup space, iDrive has a pretty good deal going on right now.

They're offering 10TB online for $5 a year. Web interface, desktop client, synchronous & timed backups, etc etc.

(For the record, I have no connection with idrive besides being a satisfied customer.)

Nice, I use iDrive for versioned offsite backup but I only get 5 TB to use for around $99 (not sure exactly how much and too lazy to look up) Plus with that I get another 5TB of Sync data. Works like dropbox. Not quite as good but I got pissed at DB when they upgraded me and raised the price while traveling to Alaska in 2019 and wouldn't switch me back to the $10 a month plan. So I have dropped DROPbox as a matter of principle.. ;)

Idrive sync works for me. Although sometimes I must prod a machine to start syncing if I am in a hurry. -Bill
