Re: Access Blue Iris on LAN (Building New Computer)

Yes as Henery said, two BI installations, even if one is the master and the other is just controlling it and not actually doing anything requires two licenses. I know some have specific reasons not to but a lot of us just remote desktop to the server from whatever computer... it's what I do and I ha...

Re: anyone recommend IR flood lights? Impact on animals?

I added a "Tendelux 150ft IR Illuminator | BI12 90° Wide Angle 850nm LED IR Light for Security Camera (w/Power Adapter)" mounted behind a garage window about 40' away from the camera with the results as pictured below. If it disturbs the critters they haven't complained to me about it and...

Wow!! Thank you for the before and after pictures. I've thought about adding one as well but this is extremely helpful!

I'm not 100% sure but how is your disk storage looking? Any chance it's getting full?

Maybe try a DB Repair?

Re: Yellow triangle, top right of camera windows

Is there anything in your Blue Iris Status > Log?

Code: Select all

The Log page in Status contains one or more warning messages or one or more
cameras has an error condition or warning, such as low frame rate or a push
webcasting error

Re: Updates Basic Expired?

I have my license renewing and have never had it technically lapse but I was reasonably confident based on comments on here that the change a year ago was that you couldn't get ANY updates. I could be mistaken on this and I'm sure others on here know definitively.

Re: Camera Discovery shows nothing

I've never tried it from a pure "something is out there" discovery point of view. All of my cameras are (and IMO should be) fixed/static IP addresses so this has never been an issue for me. I stand up a camera, assign it a permanent IP, do my basic camera side configs, import to BI.

Re: Updates Basic Expired?

Correct. Without renewing the license it will continue to function as long as you don't update. If you want any degree of an update though, you do need to renew.

Re: External Strobe Light

I have very little to offer here so considered not replying at all so as not to fill up the post. That said, sounds like a very interesting idea and goal. Your main question is about deploying a network based (and BlueIris controlled) strobe/siren. I'm sure it's doable, BI is very flexible and confi...

Re: Can't connect using Blue Iris App on Android

I'm not 100% on this but I do recall there being a known issue (well it's understandable but a potential 'issue') regarding Android and untrusted certs. Since there's not really a way to force accept it like in Firefox, for the average user it's doing exactly what it should do. That said, my setup i...
