Re: Blue Iris 5 Crashing This Morning
I am having similar issues. Three of my sites (so far) seemed to have updated to 5.4.3.7 ok, but one of them (the one with about 25 cameras on it - not sure if the number of cameras is relevant to the problem) won't allow me to start the local console. Complains about waiting on the service and then...

Re: Newbie: Analog DVR & Cameras
II have what I call a "hybrid" camera system. I have a Hikvision 16 channel Analog DVR and a computer running Blue Iris. I have 12 cameras and 9 are analog and the balance are POE IP. Blue Iris is my management system for both. I have no problems pointing BI to my DVR and seeing and recor...

Re: Audio on ANPVIZ 3MP Dome Cam
I think I figured out my "problem" - while the marketing material said the 3MP model has audio, I do not see any mic inside the thing. I just installed a 5MP model and it DOES have a mic, and it works. Not the greatest audio quality, but, it will suffice for most applications.

Audio on ANPVIZ 3MP Dome Cam
Hi Been trying some new cameras. Really like the pic quality I am getting from the Anpviz 3MP dome cameras. Have a couple of issues however. 1. These cameras are supposed to support Audio - I am using ONVIF to connect to them, but I hear nothing but white noise. Is there any specail connection strin...

Re: Indoor Camera Recommendation
Thanks for the feedback. I actually found this one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WRQ9FK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ordered one to try out. Image quality (1080P) is not bad, good enough for my indoor application, and it was $20. Will trial it for the next...

Indoor Camera Recommendation
I have not found an answer on this forum so I will ask here. I am seeking a 1080P INDOOR camera with a wide angle lens. Seems every camera I have looked at has some issue, or is not supported by BI, or cannot do ONVIF etc. So, I am hoping others out there have had success with a particular brand/mod...

Re: SUBSTREAM parameters, need help please!
I could not get my substream working until I turned on Direct-to-disk recording - that setting is located in the Camera Setup/Record Tab/Video file format and compression button. Of course you have to put the substream URL in on the Network/Config page for the cameras substream as well, which for mo...

Sub Streams
I upgraded to version 5 (I am running the latest release 5.2.7.12) in the hopes of using the substream support to reduce load on the CPU - however I have configured a number of cameras with the substream setup by adding the substream URL to the network config page. Thus far however, I cannot see an ...

Wind Solution
I am running version 4 on a 6-core CPU - about 20 cameras. Everything works great, but, if the wind comes up, the external cameras start to go crazy as trees trigger the cameras and that poor 6-core CPU starts to get buried. I have spent quite a bit of time tuning how they trigger with constraining ...
