Re: Bad Switch?
OK, that makes sense  So what happens if you Ping the cameras from the BI5 pc? For example, my Dahua is at static IP 10.0.0.2 so if I open a command prompt and write: Ping 10.0.0.2 The healthy output from that is: Pinging 10.0.0.2 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 10.0.0.2: bytes=32 time<1ms TT...

Re: Bad Switch?
Hiya, 1. The diagram is showing the BI5 pc with two NICs, and the cameras on a different subnet to the router. Did you get it working ? 2. Where would your son's pc be on this diagram ? Plugged in to the router ? 3. It is possible that these two cameras are drawing more power than the others, or jus...

Re: Substream unless triggered - almost perfect...
I see what you mean. Let Ken know - that sounds like a good idea. I decided long ago to do continuous recording so that I could not only see just before the trigger, but also be able to search for untriggered events - like when the Police asked if my cameras had seen anything at 01:15 on a particula...

Re: Find locked file
Hi, that does mean it is the "New" folder - I wonder if it's as simple as you had clicked to Protect a file ?
As for logs, it's up to you. I have it turned off unless I need a record of what is happening.

Re: Find locked file
Hi, did the full message state where it was working ? See here for a similar "locked" issue without resolution. In this case the locked file was in "New": https://blueirissoftware.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=747 I think the idea of deleting everything (If your recycle bin is big e...

Re: Swann 4K Thermal Sensing Spotlight Bullet IP Security Camera - NHD-887MSFB
Is it possible to setup everthyng with Blue Iris? As said before, probably not. These cameras are designed to interface with the Swann NVR, and every extra function may be non standard. If you are lucky, a Swann camera type with similar settings in BI5 may get some things working. If you are not lu...

Re: UI3 Alerts list broken since v5.4.3.11
If it's a Chrome issue, all is well here with Google Chrome Version 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit) which it tells me is up to date.

Re: FORCE quitting CGad Socket thread
Wow, you get some really interesting failures
What type is the front camera ?
The only things I can find are Broadcom pages mentioning "CA Gen Asynchronous Daemon" which could be CGad. Time to leave this one for someone that knows a lot more stuff than I do

Re: Neub with trouble getting Ezviz camera running
I can access a camera only when the computer (desktop in this case) is on Wifi and the camera is plugged into the ethernet. This is true for 2 laptops as well. I don't have BI5 installed on the laptop but can log into the camera from any browser so long as the machine is on wifi. Once any of the co...
