Not completely accurate. VLC may be doing something in a different way that masks the problem.

I think that BI outsources their mobile apps. Not that that excuses lack of support, just an observation.

The iOS mobile app is ok for me.

You keep saying that the time is whatever. The timestamp on the video is likely 100% accurate to the time that that video event happened. This is my issue with the terminology. The timestamps are likely correct. You are focusing on the wrong thing. The video is lagging. Or am I completely misreading...

The title might be misleading some people. What you are really seeing is a significant lag in the live feed. Correct?

Three cameras can run on the lightest of computers. A micro/mini/tiny would be my recommended route. Either of those you posted would be fine.

I think you will be happy with the alerting features. Personally I like the SMS with image attachment.

What does the best you've experienced offer? Frankly, to me, notifications are overvalued. Your chance of catching a criminal in the act and summoning law enforcement to catch the criminal are slim to none. I actually have hundreds of BI notifications unacknowledged. Every motion alert. I'm guessing there are some miscommunications with respect to requiring internet. More likely there require an IP Network and a LAN sans WAN would be OK.
