Re: P2p setting contacts foreign IPs - Foscam and Reolink Cameras
Let me understand this... Are you saying that even unchecking the P2P option, the camera will STILL go out to some (as of yet) unknown server? I'll need to check the router logs, nd set up some traces. I believe the OP was reporting that, at least for his (I am pretty sure "his"), disabli...

Re: UI3 New circular icon = Maximise triggered camera
I've not noticed that before either so I do believe you're correct that it's new. Release notes lately have indicated updates to UI3. The default function is pretty cool too! Tomorrows webinar is all about UI3 (I plan on attending if possible). I copied this from my email so apologies if it's not me...

Re: VPN Questions
It would be good if anyone else has a more complete explanation of whether or not I need a DDNS for using the VPN. I expect that my WAN IP address will change at some point, although it has not happened in the last several weeks since I started using BI5. Needing DDNS or not is dependent on your IS...

Re: VPN Questions
I'm not using VPN myself but I think I can get you pretty close on these questions: 1. Either should be encrypting it and the "security" of the connection would be the same, depending on subsequent settings (phase1/phase2, hash strength, etc). UDP *may* give a slight speed enhancement (pro...

Re: Clone then different Zoom
Is the 4x zoom a mechanical zoom on the camera or just software in BI? I'd think/assume the latter would work but the former impossible. BI is just duplicating the exact same (single) stream from the camera into two displays essentially.

Re: Blue Iris Computer SMTP not working after firewall changes
I would imagine the actual SMTP connection is using one of those ports you listed (I'm not using email alerting to confirm), most likely tcp/25 and/or tcp/587. Could you share your SMTP settings (not any login credentials of course) as that might make it a bit easier. The first thought that came to ...

Re: Date format on mobile app
I assume both your server and mobile device are configured to show in the format DD/MM/YYYY? It might be an oversight hard coded config in the app as MM/DD/YYYY is the typical format used in the 'states'. If it is, maybe it's not to late to adust that in the upcoming new android app.... Ken leaked t...

Re: Snapshots rather than Motion & Over Allocation Errors
I think there are some typos in what you typed and when we're talking an precision, that detail would be helpful. That said, the screenshots show whats needed. I think you have your "Stored" and "New" settings flipped and also your DB is set to use the C: (which is good/fine) but...

Re: Compressing files
I set all the mainstream to 15 , do i need to worry about sub-stream? It doesn't look like you're currently using sub-streams. I'm not aware of many instances in which sub-streams were not ideal, they're quite recommended and can go to further significantly help CPU usage. I'm not sure how you're d...
