Re: PC Location

Yup, similar here. My BI5 server is running headless in a room where multiple spinning drives and fans don't matter. I use Ui3 on PC's and Firesticks (Silk Browser) around the house, and use Splashtop (Remote desktop viewer) to do maintenance.

Re: Does Deepstack need motion alerts?

I believe so. When I tried DS with my Dahua doing the motion detection itself and giving BI5 only an Onvif trigger DS did nothing. One of the forum members pointed out that DS needed an Alert image to process, which I clearly didn't have. It seemed so obvious  I'm out of the DS testing at the ...

Re: nothing in C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 5\log directory - am i missing a config?

I have nothing in that folder either. What I can tell you is that in the Blue Iris Status (Click the wiggly graph line at the top of the BI page) menu, there is a Log tab on the left. There is a tick box at the bottom that I usually leave off, but you can tick to get those logs saved. On my pc it th...

Re: Check user/password

Hi, it depends what sort of reset you did to the camera. A power reset, or a reset to default settings. An IP camera will have a user/password and you will have them set up in the BI settings for that camera. If your camera has been reset to default user/password, then you either need to change them...

Re: RECOMMENDED CPU AND HARDWARE

Also see this thread where the OP has updated from a Gen4 intel cpu to Gen6 and seen a big reduction in cpu load viewtopic.php?f=8&p=9256#p9256

And of course there are all of the new tweaks to reduce cpu load.

Re: RECOMMENDED CPU AND HARDWARE

Well there is a question with a million correct answers ! I guess it depends on how much you want to spend/ if you can swap a cpu/ want to pick up a "refurbished" pc from Ebay, or want to future proof it with the latest hardware. Swap cpu: 1. So i7-4790 is a 2014 Haswell cpu with a LGA1150...

Re: Upgrade license key

Hi Jeff,

Send an email to support, as they probably won't see this thread. Use the button in BI5 to copy your details and then paste them into the email.

Audio playback delay = 10 seconds

I just noticed that when playing recorded BI5 video in Ui3, the audio starts around 10 seconds later and remains out of synch: 1. Ui3 on remote pc on same LAN has 10 seconds audio delay. 2. BI5 gui on BI5 server pc has no audio delay playing same video. 3. Ui3 on BI5 pc has 10 seconds audio delay pl...
