Re: elgato Stream Deck XL

The Stream Deck is... awesome! It will be a nice addition to my Shuttle Pro. I've seen these and they look interesting. My impression was that they were mostly useful for streamers; can you give me an idea of what it would be useful for in terms of Blue Iris? On another note, I have a Shuttle Pro b...

red_iris wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 11:38 pmSo I did a few things, but I also updated and the issue is gone and wildcards now work for faces.
Could you explain what you did so others facing the same issue could try the same fix?

Feature suggestion: Turn the "Settings" gear icon red or yellow when there's an update; this way people won't have to click it and then click the "Check for News and Updates" button to see if there's an update. This would be especially useful for people like me who have automatic...

Web server automatically enabled in recent updates?

Is the web server feature getting automatically enabled in recent updates? I ask because I've had it disabled for the last year, but I notice after a recent update it was re-enabled. I'm absolutely 100% sure that I hadn't enabled it. I was seeing attempted logins from all over the world (not surpris...

Re: Can one combine or concatenate pre-recorded clips?

I use FFMPEG to do this and it works very well. Not a point-and-click kind of thing but it's still easy to use.

In Linux you can also do this just by concatenating files. A little more obscure but also works perfectly.

Re: ipcamtalk

I was just asking a question about clip storage and archiving and fenderman jumped in and said I needed to get over my OCD and configure it right. Many people say that Blunderman is a sad pansy who gets triggered at the slightest thing. I don't know if it's due to drug use, inbreeding, or mental pr...

Re: WiFi Camera Suggestion

I've had pretty good luck with the Foscam R2 series and the Amcrest 841 series. I have two R2 cams that are used over wifi- as long as they're in a decent location they're very stable (they're only ~30 or 40 ft from the router, so it's not what I'd call a fair test). Be aware that wifi is generally ...

Re: Batch convert BVR to MP4

Did you try to playback exported by your script MP4 in the latest BI version? No, I wrote it and used it for a while for a project I was doing. Later I decided I didn't really need to export clips for what I wanted to do and I moved on to other things. Maybe I misunderstood what you said; that is, ...

Re: Batch convert BVR to MP4

I've attached a converter script I wrote a while ago that uses ffmpeg. I think this will do exactly what you want. BVRConverter.zip 1) Read the README file. 2) Modify the source and target params at the top of the script and run it. It'll convert a directory full of .BVR clips to .MP4, with selectab...
