Starting BI from a script runs it in the background?
This is interesting....starting BI from an auto-start script seems to run it in the background with no UI.
Double-clicking the BI icon makes the UI appear, just as if it was set to run as a service (which it's not).
Weird, not sure what to make of this, lol.

Re: Bypass Local_console login
See my update in the post. The code in the file must start with the text "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00".
Code: Select all
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Options]
"runasadmin"=dword:00000001

Bypass Local_console login
UPDATE: Apparently running this regedit key will fix it: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Options] "runasadmin"=dword:00000001 Paste the code into a notepad file and save it with a .reg extension. I tried it and it worked for m...

Yup, I realized I had misunderstood which forum was being referenced. Sometimes I have a brain cramp and lose the plot, lol.

Can you post a model number, a UPC or EAN number, and maybe a picture of the camera? I'll see what I can find.

Re: Weird LAN IP issue
Ahhhh, thank you, Serodgers! I'd bet that's what's going on with my system. It had some oddball 169.x.x.x IP address that it was using. I'm going change things so everything will be started with a batch file to load BI after a short pause, then the ngrok utility. Thanks again for the info! I had a s...

Re: 5.2.0.0 Update...
This is a setting that you can change- right click and select "Show camera names" to make them show or not show. Good Morning . In addition to the lack of audio in the cameras Foscam C1/C2 after last night's update, the camera names in the bar of each camera have disappeared. Albert

Re: 5.2.0.0 Update...
If you never set a password for this account then you can just hit [RETURN] and it'll login. The problem for me is that this will prevent it from starting without manual interaction, and I definitely don't want that. I want it to just start without any login prompt. updated now its looking for user ...
