Re: Fresh BI5 installation on Win10 SSD+Storage
Hi Terk, I thought OpenVpn with an Asus router covered my remote access security - it has prevented access attempts from other countries too ( Look in your connection logs people). What can Stunnel do for me ? And can you explain how to set it up ? Tim OpenVPN does cover the remote access security ...

Re: Upgrading v4 to v5
I held off upgrading to v5 hoping they would address some of the known issues in the upgrade process but then realized the issues where on the v4 side and they weren't upgrading that anymore so they were not likely to ever fix the issue of v4 deleting all settings and registration even when you told...

Re: Graphics card for monitor display?
Intel Quick Sync supposedly does just as good or close to as the nVidia GPU offloading. Are you using the Intel hardware acceleration in BI now?

Re: Fresh BI5 installation on Win10 SSD+Storage
Lookup "HomeTech Video" on youtube for instructional videos for setup. My BI server is also my file server, Plex server, Ubiquiti controller, and Sonos server, and I have 12 cameras currently (mostly 2MP) however my file server is lightly used most of the time same with Plex as we only use...

Re: LTS or HITVISION cameras?
I purchased a HikVision camera and had it working on BI version 4 for a week or so before I sent the camera back due to it not performing as well as I wanted in low light. I haven't tried LTS but if they support RTSP they should work.

Re: Can no Longer Connect to Camera. Strange.
Can you set a static IP in the cameras web page? If not have you set a DHCP reservation for it on your router using the MAC address and IP? In the app that works does it tell you the current IP of the camera, if not in your routers DHCP table you should be able to identify the camera either by the M...

Re: iPhone Push Notifications Not Working - 1/30/2020
I lost push notifications from both BI 4 latest and a BI 5 from about 3 months ago. They must have changed something that even the earlier version of BI 5 cannot handle. I guess I'll have to upgrade both instances to see if that fixes the issue.

Re: Is BI a Good Solution for Me?
I'd keep the DDNS in case the external IP changes. To access the individual cameras with IP CamViewer you'd access one port and use individual short camera names as the unique identifier. You could also give the users unique credentials and revoke them when the cat's go home. There is a web browser ...

Re: Marker and export
Yes, On the recording tab change the recording option to continuous and it should act how you want as long as the triggers tab is still set to trigger on motion.

In the camera's properties can you change the output to H.264?
