Re: Independent Trigger Zone Settings Feature Request

I agree with both points of view. Programmatically, the amount of effort to do this would be greater than the benifit & use-case end result. In other words... it's not worth the effort! Not only would each zone have different motion settings, but the trigger/alerts... would also have to be overr...

Re: Total Number of Users

Good question for BI support. Sounds good in theory.. but... - Each unit that wanted to participate would need a unique ID & Password. Managing this would be a nightmare... resetting forgotten/locked userid's, deleting old tenants, adding mew tenants. - You would need to increase the Webserver's...

Re: Gmail rejects alert

Yes, and if you send too many alerts (like when motion goes bonkers dur to wind before you catch it) GMail will lock you account for 24 hours.

I switched to a different email service to send email/sms to my Gmail account. No problems now.

Re: I Am Starting to Regret "Upgrading" to Blue Iris 5

I've been following this thread, and thought I'd throw my 2 cents in... About BI shutting down randomly... ... This happens whether the app is in the foreground or minimized to the system tray. I don't see how this could be an issue with BI! Minimizing an program doesn't shut down a totally differen...

Re: New PC Question

If your motherboard supports using onboard and a gpu, it shouldn't have a negative effect your system or BI.
Note: onboard graphics can use 1.5gig (or more) of your memory.
Not sure if BI ca use both Quicksync AND Nvida Cuda at the same time. I think it's one or the other.

Re: Playback BVR file half video unviewable

That is the area you masked out.

When paying back videos... right click in the video and select 'Testing & Tuning'. Uncheck 'Analyze with motion detector'.
Having this option enabled all the time uses a little more cpu/gpu.

Re: Alerts not showing in list but are recording

This is a user forum,. BI may read these, but do not reply via the forum. In the past I've setup a special BI User ID for support. I enable it when I know they will remote in. Send them a response that you'll setup an ID for them and enable it during the period they say they will remote in. You can ...

5.5.1.11 working fine for me. Well, with the glitches for the group layouts.

Re: Android Push Notifications not on All Cameras

Just checked, and 2 of my 3 cameras that I have push/sms/email notifications no longer send. Only 1 camera sends those notifications. Turned out, it was how I had the cameras Schedules Overrides setup. Unchecking 'Also ignore manual global overrides' corrected this. Used to work. Something changed i...

Re: Latest update to version 5 crashes

Please, Please, Please.... Be more specific. What version? Stating "the latest update of BI 5.0" really does not tell us the version number that is causing the fail. The only thing we have to go on is the date of the post. Even that would not necessarily narrow it to a version. I'm current...
