Re: Version 5.8.9.0, New options...
Not having a go but it does amaze me that one thing is introduced or fixed but it then breaks other seemingly unrelated things! I stopped updating ages ago but do follow the updates and from threads here and in IPCT it does look like even though people are still stating that the latest version doesn...

Re: Protected clips deleted?
If you click on the icon that shows the status page of the cams, storage etc on the Logs tab there should be an option to save the log files away monthly. If this isn’t ticked then a restart of BI clears the logs and they are gone forever.

Re: Protected clips deleted?
Have you recently updated BI? I do recall an update where people said they lost their protected clips as an update had untagged them and they were then lost as part storage management. Personally I never use this feature, if a clip is that important I manually both export and copy the BVR file(s) ov...

Re: Query regarding overallocation and lost footage despite configured free space
I always advocate leaving at least 10% or if you really need the extra space 5% of the total disk space free. Writing to a drive and leaving only 10gb free is a recipe for problems. In terms of overallocation, if BI is writing to an existing clip file it will continue writing even if it means it ove...

Re: Triggering is very unreliable
I’ve personally found the ONVIF triggering for event by my cams to be so much more reliable than any motion detection and AI analysis by BI and Deepstack/CP.
Apart from a couple of clone cams all my cams trigger BI via ONVIF.

Re: Random Cameras losing signal at random times, fustrating ongoing issue
I seem to recall Send RTSP keep alives as being an option that you could try disabling.
There’s also an option to treat b/w video as loss of signal so you might want to see if disabling that helps.

Re: Group layout digital zoom
Only thing I can think of is maybe having a standard wide view cam where there is an area of interest so in the group view you want to maintain that zoomed view?
Or maybe a clone where you want to maintain that digital zoom view?
