Re: BI5 License Key
This may be off base, but I had an issue when I upgraded from BI4 to BI5. Turns out I had to enter the license key for BI4 when it asked, then it continued on with the upgrade. The details are foggy in my mind, but I'm absolutely sure that I had to enter my BI4 license to continue.

anyone ever see a strange login in your log file?
Almost every day I see attempts to hit my server, Xfinity blocks them and I have Norton running in addition to the Xfinity protection. Almost every one is from out of the US, but there is an occasional US attempt. I only have one user configured in my BI5...me. The other day I looked at the login fi...

Re: Help configuring wifi camera
I had a similar issue with my Amcrest camera. I thought sure that the camera was bad, as soon as I unplugged the ethernet cable I lost the camera. I went as far as decommissioning the camera and just using my second camera. One day I pulled out that supposed bad camera and started playing with it. I...

Re: Burn Timestamp into Video
I agree with Matts1984, I've found that the timestamp in BI is only for your screen. My Amcrest cameras have overlays built into them that will burn it in. I read on some forums that people disable the overlays in the camera to cut down on wireless network traffic, personally I didn't see any differ...

Re: Unable to connect to BlueIris 5 through WAN on mobile device
I had the same issue. I could see my cameras inside of my network but not outside of my network. My issue was how I configured my cameras, I deleted them and started over. When you are setting up that cameras, you want to configure using P2P and use the the camera serial number, not the IP address w...

I agree with Henry... mine went well too. IMO, what was not explained well was that you enter your BI4 license number when upgrading.

Comcast/Xfinity blocking BI.... finally resolved!
I’ve seen others that have had this same issue. After a total of 10 calls to Comcast tech support, 4 times running through their step by step troubleshooting, many instances of we’re checking and sending me to the “advanced” group, and multiple times that I was furious after being accidentally hung ...

Re: BI Using near 100% cpu
If you do a Google search for optimize blue iris, there’s a post that suggests setting changes. One I remember had to do with “direct to disc”, deleting overlays in the cameras themselves helps too. There was also something else about encryption. I followed the settings that were recommended and it ...

Zone monitoring reset themselves to full screen
Has anyone experienced their monitored and blocked zones resetting on their own? I've had it happen a few times, the zones disappear and the entire screen becomes a monitored zone. I usually realize there's an issue when all of a sudden I'm getting a ton of alerts. I fix it, save it, and move on unt...

Re: BI5 stopped sending alarts 2M-842 IP cameras
UPDATE..... I uninstalled BI5 multiple times, no change. I uninstalled again and then found and deleted all registries related to Blue Iris and Perspective software. If you don't delete the registries, all of the related info isn't gone. When I reloaded BI5 prior to deleting the registries, my camer...
