Re: BI5 - Run as service & using GUI Windows 10

This may take care of it but not sure.. Recently after an upgrade my cameras froze when individually selecting them. When I unchecked the "Limit live preview rate" under the main settings, Cameras tab, the problem ceased.

Re: Camera feeds frozen

I had the same problem last week when I did an upgrade. I had never accidentally turned on that pause before. The upgrade also turned on the "limit live preview rate" under main settings, cameras and that was quite annoying until if figured it out.

Re: Purge files when a file size limit is reached

Under the main "settings", "clips and archiving" with the NEW tab selected (default file location) enter 500 GB by the limit size box and do not check the limit clip age box. Below that check the DELETE box. When the files reach 500 GB BI will start deleting the older files. Norm...

Re: Spoooooooooky

Looks like a moth to me by the shape of the body... You can see the rapid flapping wings.
I see lots of similar activity from close flying insects. They are attracted by the infrared lights and can be a real nuisance at times.

Here are my settings in BI 5. Input your RTSP name and password, the IP address and make sure to put /live in the path line.

Re: Ready to give up on BI5

I will not allow auto updated as I do not want to be a BETA tester. I started with ver 5.0.0.56 several months back and it has been great. I tried a couple of updates to see what I was missing and troubles began. I wiped the slate and reinstalled my original release and all is well. Many of the olde...

Re: Hard drive crashed-how to download BI 5 again?

I just tried it again and it downloads with no questions asked. It is the newer ver 5.0.8.0.

On my BI PC I am using 5.0.0.56 and do not care to upgrade as it seems flawless to me.

Re: Do I need both New and Stored Folders?

I would keep the purple drive for the NEW folder and use an SSD or other HD for the BI operating system. Under each cameras record tab I have the "Combine or cut each clip" to 1 hour as the files are easier to manage and search through. I have the size set to 4gb but with my 10fps clips ar...
