Re: Excessive night time alerts- bugs
I have external IR sources for all my cameras except one. Not only does it eliminate almost all the triggers from flying buggies but it also gets rid of the 'white walker' eyes. I also turn off the internal IR source. The one camera still using the internal light is a major PIA with triggering from ...

Re: BI5 v5.2.5.3
Thanks TimG Yes I checked this am and there was definitely an issue here :( I did the upgrade yesterday, made no other changes . . . I just looked at some clips from this am and they look ok. The ones from yesterday are freezing. It seems to have 'fixed itself' - not very reassuring :) Thanks again ...

BI5 v5.2.5.3
Today I installed the above release. Immediately after, on one camera, I have a recording issue. After X seconds (could be 40, could be 20, could be 70) the image freezes and it continues to record that image until the trigger expires. I also noticed that the recording is 'jerky' (what there is) its...

Re: Performance issues with Intel I7 7700 + 16gb ram
. . . . . I believe the setting in concern was "BD PROCHOT." . . . . I am no maven on Intel processors or AMD for that matter but its my understanding that "BD PROCHOT" is an internal throttling device to keep the processor from overheating. I believe it throttles the cpu clock ...

Re: Problem with corrupted converted/exported files
FIXED! fwiw - if anyone runs into this problem (corrupt MP4 conversions) Ken at BI support nailed it. He suggested unchecking the "2 pass for fast open" option on the convert/export page. That's all it needed. I don't remember enabling it (or not) but that was all I needed to save MP4 file...

Re: Problem with corrupted converted/exported files
Hello TimG
No even small files won't convert to MP4's. I am able to convert pretty large (>300mb) files to AVI tho. If its a memory issue I'd be pretty surprised. BI shows 3.89gb memory usage. The system has 64gb minus 12gb I use as a ram disk. Overall task manger shows:

Re: Problem with corrupted converted/exported files
Tried changing to every option in the encoder profile list. Very discouraging. I even changed my viewer thinking it might be that. Just can't convert to MP4

Thanks Mikebwca!
I just saw your BI version was more recent than mine. I updated to 5.0.9.5 and all is well
