You can get installers by date on IP Cam Talk. Get the latest one that your system was in-support. You can get your in-support expiration from the current system with the watermarks.

Re: Low-powered PC solution?
There is a database of user installations with the number of pixels/sec being processed and the CPU with usage.
Anyone have that link handy?

Re: BI on virtual machine
I think you should go to IPCamTalk and ask this question LoL
But, to be honest. I think the biggest issues is the CPU cores you would need to allocate and the potential inability to passthrough the GPU processing power.

Re: How Do I adjust hardware zoom on a varifocal lens camera?
That’s interesting, how in BI do you then zoom in and out? I tap the + or - in the dial. It is interactive. I imagine the pan/tilt would be the same but I only have z and not pt. Do recognize that if you have any zones, they will be warped and not accurate to the original settings if you zoom in or...

Re: Building a new PC - GPU helps?
BI will certainly use all the CPU cores. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of us have been around BI for a long time. We have opinions set based on facts that could be 5 years old. Back in the day, the operating models very heavily relied on decoding the full streams and if you wanted to captu...

Re: How Do I adjust hardware zoom on a varifocal lens camera?
Your camera needs to be able to support ONVIF commanding AND you need to set up the ONVIF settings in the camera setup. I'm forgetting the specifics now but play around with the ONVIF setup for your camera in BI. Maybe inspect your camera in the BI camera settings and see if ONVIF control is availab...

Re: How Do I adjust hardware zoom on a varifocal lens camera?
I am aware of using the webUI for each individual camera. However I want a vms application to load up to 4 cameras on the screen so I can line them up next to each other and adjust zoom all in one screen. This is something that can be done in an IPC tester but those are chinsey and not outdoor rate...

Re: Building a new PC - GPU helps?
If you plan on using the GPU for AI motion detection, then look into getting a Google Coral Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) instead. It is inexpensive, is better than a high end GPU at AI motion detection, and uses 2 to 4 watts of total power doing so. If this is accurate (no reason to doubt), it woul...
