Re: 4K camera video and audio lags exessively and becomes several minutes out of sync

Are the recordings ok?

I had a similar problem, but it was more of a slow updates of live feed and poor motion detection. But the recordings looked fine. My fix was to uncheck “limit decoding unless required.” In checked mode, BI only displays and analyzes for motion key frames.

Re: No Signal

I'll try that, but I don't have a CPU issue, just a regularly "no signal" Yeah, it probably isn't your problem, but your 2-3% CPU usage suggested to me you weren't analyzing every frame (if you care). My i7-6700 went from 2-3% CPU usage to 20-50% at 15fps for four dual stream cameras. Jus...

Re: No Signal

I follow the setup The Hook Up I followed Rob's guide as well. While I didn't experience your described problems with Reolink cameras as well, Rob's mysterious "limit decoding unless required" causes BI to only analyze and display key frames in most scenarios. My Reolink cameras have a ke...

Re: live view lag, recording is fine

I later saw two things. The help files clearly explains the behavior seen. The checkbox causes it to only analyze key frames for motion and display unless selected. I also saw that my Reolink cameras have apparently a fixed 0.25 key frames per second for the low-rez feed. 0.5 kfps for the high-rez f...

Re: Reviewing multiple camera recordings at same time

If I understand the question, it works this way "out of the box." When live viewing multiple cameras, it shows my all tracks in the timeline. If I click on the timeline, it will show the next motion activated recording and when played will play them as described, but skipping the periods o...

Re: live view lag, recording is fine

A little old but maybe of still use to you and those that come. But I had the exact problem you described. Laggy live feed, normal recording playback. Underutilized network, CPU, and memory. Furthermore, it looked fine when using web access or if the video was selected. The motion triggering often a...
