Re: Missing very obvious motions
14GB of 24 memory used. 2.7GB by BI alone. It’s also running home assistant and an AI for image detection. Humph!

Re: Missing very obvious motions
How to trial run clips for motion detection: https://blueirissoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=580 CPU sounds right, but used memory seems low. Maybe I run a poorly configured Win10 but I couldn’t imagine a plain install of win10 alone using that little memory. I’ll check at home, but my work compu...

Re: Missing very obvious motions
I reread you have 10 cameras. You are in the range of needing to pay attention to hardware and configuration settings to scan that many. Have you checked the usual guides for optimization? Detailed guide as well as table of cpu and max bit rate processing https://ipcamtalk.com/wiki/optimizing-blue-i...

Re: Missing very obvious motions
As a crude check, how many cameras do you have, what’s the resolution of the scanned for triggers cameras, and what’s your CPU usage? It should be significant (confirmation it’s actually processing the streams), but not pegging out (processing too much bit rate due to cameras * resolution * FPS, and...

Re: Missing very obvious motions
A hoped for easy fix is to Uncheck “limit decoding unless required” in the camera settings. With that checked BI only analyzes for motion the key frames coming in. Depending on your camera this can be several seconds. My Reolink cameras have a fixed 0.25 key FPS as I recall. So it only looked every ...

Re: Dynamic Overlay from MQTT/HomeAssistant/NodeRed
I run it as part of Home Assistant ina Virtual Machine on the same computer as BI. It takes barely any horsepower. Many run Home Assistant on Raspberry Pi’s. I followed this YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/sVqyDtEjudk (the smart home hookup HA install guide) If you prefer reading, he also documen...

Dynamic Overlay from MQTT/HomeAssistant/NodeRed
Roughly covered elsewhere but it was a little confusing. Just documenting for possible others' benefit. I have data in Home Assistant that I thought would be neat to have on the camera overlay. Temperature, lights activation, and AI detection of saved BI stills. The part that tripped me up for a bit...

Re: Record SD then on trigger record HD?
I have mine set up this way. There's no clean way to do it now. In one of the recent webinars, Ken mentioned that it is in the works however. I have a clone of my camera that is set to the substream recording 24/4. My regular camera only records on motion in HD. You need a duplicate of your camera ...
