Re: Cannot start Blue Iris Program

Blueiris caught hell over this snafu which also affected Quickbooks and other programs and was a result of a Microsoft issue. There is a link about the issue.

Re: Problem with continuos recording

Each camera defaults to write to the NEW folder where you have yours set to STORED. The NEW folder should be on your storage drive and not the primary C drive. Unless you have multiple storage drives you do not need to use the STORED folder as the NEW folder will hold them until the drive is full th...

Re: Cameras for home

TimG posted some good tips there. Another option for cameras is Amcrest. They are made by Dahua but more budget friendly. Their IP5M-T1179EW-xxxx is not bad and the night vision is not bad with IR. Comes in 2 focal lengths, 2.8 and 3.6mm. They also have inexpensive wifi/ethernet PTZ cameras, model I...

This link loo...

Re: List Of Supported Cameras

I am using about 15 different Chinese odd ball cameras and a couple Dahua and BI detected all of them and categorized them as generic/ONVIF and assigned various Main and Sub stream inputs.

Re: SubStream Help

I have some Chinese cams that default to /0 on the main stream box.. I entered /1 in the sub stream box and works well. Does not hurt to experiment. If it works the camera will be displayed within a few seconds of saving when you enter OK.... Then in the settings GENERAL tab it will show the main st...

Re: Format drive

If you 'loose' your drive with Blue Iris and do not have a backup of your settings then when you install it on the new drive you can just enter your ID and BI registration number and it will activate. It will cancel the activation of the former setup.
