Have you tried this: Under the "Startup" tab on settings, uncheck the top block for "Run as a Windows service". Close BI. Verify the service has stopped in task manager. Reopen BI and recheck that option on again. you will need o reenter the password for the account running the ...

I just installed update 64 5.2.5.3 and I have read all the instructions and no matter what I do it still fails to start service. HELP!
What is the defined procedure for fixing this bug? Why would BI release a update that will not properly install itself???
