Re: Double AI validation ?

Now that IS a good one. I would never have thought of that :D

Good work MikeBwca. Have an excellent weekend :!:

And OP: Clones are easy and don't use much in the way of resources, and that does appear to do exactly what you asked for.

Re: Triggering is very unreliable

When the Onvif command is sent by the camera, the xml will change and show the command. After a few seconds it will refresh and show the default info.
As I said, it took me some time. You need an able assistant to trigger the camera, and you stop the xml refreshing when it updates.

Re: Triggering is very unreliable

The trick with that window is to save it just as the ONVIF command appears as it will reset after a few seconds. It took me some time  I then found a similar (but not quite the same) trigger in the list below the window, and copied and altered it to suit. It is very powerful and configurabl...

Re: AOSU Cameras on BI?

Yes, with some NVR's, you can add the base station IP as a new "camera" in BI5, and then change the camera number in those BI5 settings. Repeat for the next camera. I haven't done it myself, but I know Pogo has.

Re: AI Burn in on video files?

That is likely to be a combination of overlays showing macro values that have been dynamically updated with http commands.

That can't be right. There must be a simpler way with BI5 variables :?

Re: AOSU Cameras on BI?

Can you reach the Lorex NVR's with an IP address ? BI5 can connect to some NVR's that way, and show the individual cameras. Have a look in the Lorex manual for info. Some experimentation may be required

Re: LaView lv-pz804n4

You may have two options here, either to get BI5 to see the NVR with all of its cameras, or to use BI5 as the NVR and remove the Amcrest NVR. Are you wanting to remove it or to keep using it ? It does appear to be a standard IP NVR so either could work. BI5 needs the IP address for each camera and t...

Re: Triggering is very unreliable

I'm assuming you are not using CodeProject AI here.

Yes, BI5 can listen for ONVIF commands from cameras and if they are compatible can use it as a trigger. Please see Help file for details (Url is in my signature) and ask as many questions as you like.

Re: AOSU Cameras on BI?

Agreed. For BI you DO want ONVIF/RTSP etc. and POE means you can power a camera over one ethernet cable. Wired is preferred over wifi, as they drop out and can easily be jammed just when you need them.

Re: tagging motion detection above a certain size limit?

If you mean to add a text phrase to an image, then that can be done with overlays and macros. The macros can either be fixed text, or can be updated with http commands so you can even add dynamic messages from a home automation program. Something like this: 1. Ensure overlays are enabled for the cam...
