Re: Best way to access BI5 remotely if I don't have a real world IP

Also it's important to note that establishing DDNS only helps get traffic from the Internet to your routers external interface. It would need to then forward that traffic to a specific port on your Blue Iris server. There are certainly areas for security concern here that can get pretty detailed and...

Re: BI5, amcrest 4k, poor performance

I've seen something similar... and interestingly I have both SV3C and Amcrest cameras and only recall seeing the delay with the Amcrests (mine are not 4k though) and all are at the latest firmwares. That said, I can't say specifically what I did to resolve it. I would occasionally see - even in the ...

Re: Amcrest AB2WFCAM compatibility

I don't want to say definitively but it does indicate that the hub is required for use (I realize sometimes thats said and not ACTUALLY true) but based on your testing so far, I'd assume it's likely. You may have a tough time adding them through the hub. The only other thing I can think of is if the...

Re: Forum really slow

Not just you, I think it's due to solar flares......

(it gets better and worse at times, I think wherever this forum is hosted is on really weak - or multipurpose - hardware... it's probably on Ken's home BI server :) )

Re: BI Using near 100% cpu

Yup! I believe this https://ipcamtalk.com/wiki/optimizing-blue-iris-s-cpu-usage/ is the one you're referring to. I've made gains following it as well. Just be sure not to make a post arguing it or contradicting the moderator  But really, if you have any other questions about any of this, we're ...

Re: Camera Jamming

Then there is something else going on OR they used some military grade EMP/wave generator but if the camera worked afterwards - thats even less likely than it already is. There's not really anything to jam with an optical camera (it's just light) and then a contained direct electrical connection via...

Re: Data management

Hmm thats an interesting one. Your config seems right but perhaps there needs to be a logic enhancement within BI (not your ability currently I don't believe). It sounds like there is a potential issue IF a subsequent drive is unavailable. This one might be an email to support asking for advice and ...

Re: Camera Jamming

Unfortunately I completely agree with Thixotropic (no offense... I guess it could be fortunate depending on perspective?). The jamming/blocking/disruption is down to an overload of the wifi signal. Management Frame Protection is not widely supported, and has to be by both the AP and the endpoint, bu...

Re: BI Using near 100% cpu

Gotcha, yeah 3 cameras shouldn't be hitting it that hard. But there are TONS of settings that can make a big difference. Are the cameras set to do Direct to Disk recording? Also, can you share a screenshot of your BI "Status-> Cameras" tab? The whole thing including the totals at the bottom (you can...

Re: To NVIDIA or Not

I think it could be interesting to start adding Substreams for some of your cameras and observe what happens (doing 5 or so should be a noticeable difference). You would/should see a significant drop in the MP/s that BI has to process while maintaining your recording quality. Worst case if you don't...
