Re: Newbie Camera Recommendation

I realize this is a bit of an old topic but I started out with two SV3C 5MP bullet cameras (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BNGWZVR) and have been very happy with them... even though they are a chinese rebrand of Dahua cameras. The price was right for me and I really like the options and qualit...

Re: Acceso remoto

I think this is one for Ngrok tunneling... of which I'm not an expert. The other option is a combination of port forwarding and dynamic dns but that is probably a more complicated solution. I apologize that this response is not the step by step answer you're looking for.

Re: App and UI3 alerts slow to load after HDD swap

My drives are 10k (I'm pretty sure, they could be 7200) but my storage comes from a pool of 12 drives in RAID6 soooo, I haven't seen any read performance issues.

Re: Networking question - help please...

To follow up ARP only works for systems in the same subnet. When the destination is determined to be on a different subnet, the traffic goes to the default gateway (well, assuming there aren't other routes saying to go somewhere else). That gateway then follows the same process (if local -> send ARP...

Well thats no good. But yes the frequent updates are still good (for us).

Maybe a post or something on the official forum would be nice.

Re: Networking question - help please...

So are you all set now?

Might be a silly question but is there a REASON the camera has that address? I'm not clear on whether there is truly a second subnet there or if the camera really just needs to be fixed. Can anyone access that camera remotely (web browser)?

Re: Great Nightvision

Attached is a grab from one of the new Amcrest IP5M-1173EB-28MM. I do need to still tweak it for night viewing (was too tired last night) so will post that later. Capture.jpg Overall I'm happy enough with the image BUT... I will not be buying another. I'm pretty dissatisfied with the product and Amc...

Re: Networking question - help please...

Unfortunately you're likely going to need physical access to the BI system to get it back online and to it's original address. Going forward to get to the camera... we may need some additional details. You have: Verizon router front end BI system (and network) @ 192.168.1.0/24 (/24 is shorthand for ...

Re: App and UI3 alerts slow to load after HDD swap

I believe TimG has the answer. If the only thing that changed was the drive (and based on what I've read, your Purple is probably 5400 RPM and lower transfer rate), the the drive is the issue - not that there's anything wrong with it for NVR storage. BI5 does allow for subsequent different storage l...

Re: Does anyone else use Camius cameras with BI5?

First, I do not have their cams either but they do look pretty nice I can't tell specifically on the 828A page but looking at others, like the 528A, it looks like the cameras are likely of Dahua lineage which in my experience is a good thing. The software looks like theirs. Based on the 528A model i...
