Re: New Setup Q please help?

A very quick ebay search on M93P's came up with some very promising possibilities under the $200 price point. Any of the newer Intel i series CPUs support Intel QSV which will help in processing and lower your overall CPU usage. This is definitely a world where 'more is better' but the reality of it...

Re: Motion detection pause on rain

I haven't personally messed with it so I can't be of too much help but if you are looking for a manual switch, you could set up a different profile that you'd have to flip to with lower settings if/when it rains. That said, it would be pretty cool to have it configured to switch if a rain sensor was...

Re: Cant remote connect with app

This will involve a lot of network troubleshooting and more info. What network is your phone on when testing this? Are you trying from the same network - presumably on wifi at home - or on your cellular carrier/remote network? What address is your phone app attempting to connect to? What is the loca...

You may want to try to Repair the Database if you haven't already:

You may also want to verify your settings are all correct in "Settings -> Clips and archiving" for New/Stored/Alerts/etc (if you use all of them... you may only use New)

Re: Re-using older PC hardware - SPECS

That is brilliant. Thanks very much for going into so much detail. I did have a quick look at eBay and found some i7 CPUs around the traps, although I'm probably looking at a couple hundred dollars. They might be a bit optimistic, but I only looked briefly. I've got another project on the go, but t...

Awesome, thank you for the update. I was wondering if 5.3.1.1 fixed the recent camera issues (perhaps including the UI Flex G3s? )

Re: Handy FOV/Viewing Angle chart

Wow this is pretty cool stuff I didn't know existed. I recently used Google Maps and compared the actual image of my camera to map my viewable zones and find my blind spots I wanted to cover. One of my specific cameras isn't listed on the site but I can get pretty close.

Re: Re-using older PC hardware - SPECS

I think Tim gave real solid advice. Your version of Windows perfect and my gut says you'll be fine with the CPU as there is so much room for tweaking to gain %'s back. In your spare time as he said, it might be worth looking at the highest CPUs your board can accept (which you provided and - if I ge...
