Re: Direct to Disk recording

Thanks for all your help. Just to clarify. I use D2D on all the IP cameras. I let them do the motion detection and overlays to reduce cpu cycles. I do re-encode to H264 on the DS-4XXX card connected standard cameras. I use BI5 motion detection and overlays on them so the overlays are recorded. The o...

Re: Newbie Playback Question

Thank you, Both of those recommendations work. I can see where setting up a group would allow me to set just the cameras I want to review. I have several groups already setup and making a "Playback" group and just adding the cameras I need to review to it will work. However we have several managers ...

Newbie Playback Question

Hi All, We are a retail environment. Many times we are reviewing video of a shoplifter. Our old software which was from netvision had a playback feature that I got use to using. In playback we could select a grid of 1,4,9,16,32 cameras and then select which camera went in each box on the grid. If we...

Re: Direct to Disk recording

As I am learning the system and making changes it is getting better. I let all the IP cameras handle their own motion sense and overlays. The DS-4xxx cameras I do BI5 motion, overlays, and re-encode to H264. CPU runs at about 45% unless it is doing housekeeping and needs to move files from New to St...

Re: Clip Folders, The alerts folder

Thank you,
So there should be low or normal resolution images in the alert folders.
It should not be empty unless you turn off both the capture and alert image and the store Hi-res alert image boxes are unchecked.

Got it.

Clip Folders, The alerts folder

Hi, I am looking at the BI5 manual dated March 31, 2020 on page 81. It says the alerts folder will remain empty unless you have asked for HI-res alert images on the record tab in camera setting. 1. My alerts folder is filling up with images. 2. I cannot find the Hi-res setting in the record tab in c...

Re: Where is Priority Support and Maintenance???

I think there may have been a problem with my support subscription. I tried one last time with a problem. This time I got an automated email saying my email had been received and I should have a reply within 24 hours. I did get a reply the next day with some very helpful info that fixed my problem. ...

Re: Where is Priority Support and Maintenance???

Thank you for your reply. However If I wanted to use youtube videos, which are for V4 not V5, I would not have paid money for priority support. I looked up the address that was in the invoice I paid and found it to be a mailbox in a UPS store. As of this date none of my emails have been replied to. ...

Where is Priority Support and Maintenance???

I recently purchased BI5 for my company. After setting it up I realized that I might need some phone support to get it all setup right. So a week ago I purchase Priority Support with phone support. The info sent to me contained no phone number or instructions. I figured out to put license that came ...
