As it’s a security system I’d alway personally run it on a dedicated box, mine for example is hidden away and I access it remotely should the need arise.HughS wrote:The BI 'server' is also my Desktop...

Re: BI5 Cams shut down when I start up my VPN?
A VPN will normally direct all traffic’s through the tunnel it creates which is why BI can no longer see the cams. Only option I can think of is check if there is an option to bypass local ip traffic but then that goes against the entire point of using a VPN. Why are you running a VPN on the BI serv...

Re: Login prompt when BI starts, username/password not accepted
That could be it, as far as I know BI requires a local account. Not too sure where you go from here as you typically need to login using the same account as you did the install. You could try creating a local account and see how far you get? Not something I’ve ever tried so can’t advise beyond that,...

Re: Login prompt when BI starts, username/password not accepted

Yes, I do have a special character in my MS account password, but would rather not change it since I will not be allowed to set it back to the same again after having solved the BI login problem. Also when you set BI to run as a service did you use the same username/password that you u...

Also when you set BI to run as a service did you use the same username/password that yo...

Re: Version 5.8.9.0, New options...
I honestly don’t mind the fast pace of development but there must come a time where you have to stop and think about all the issues which to us are unrelated caused by these new features. Another thing that boils my urine is yes you don’t need to purchase support and can stay with the last release y...
