Re: Run Blue Iris Twice on Same PC?
Mike is spot on! Under each cameras settings, GENERAL tab you can set up your group names. One done check the "All cameras" icon in the top middle of the screen and you can choose which individual group you wish to view from there. Thanks MikeBwca as I was unaware of being able to place ca...

Re: Disappearing videos
I am not good at this but here is my attempt to help. You may set each camera to record 1 hour clips via its settings, record tab, combine and clip. See the 3rd clip below Under the main BI settings, clips and archiving tab set the NEW "limit size" to the maximum space you wish to use on y...

Re: Continuous recording.
If there are no alerts for that time then on the main screen, right click and toggle "Show timeline view". From the timeline you can go back in time and view your videos. Though may not be politically correct, I frequently open the NEW folder from the Windoze command prompt and double clic...

Re: Comprehensive list of supported cameras
14 of my cameras are inexpensive Chinese Generic variety and their brand names are not listed within BI's selection list but they ALL work just fine when entering their IP address and allowing Blue Iris configure on its own. It is my understanding that LaView is related to Dahua which has strong Blu...

You can login directly to the camera and play with the resolution settings and it may change the screen layout. It works on some but I have not played with a Reolink

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good
Mine is about 9x9x4 and had those tabs on them but I cut them off. The top seals with those 4 screws and there is a foam seal with it. I chose the larger box because of blowing rain since these cameras are not sealed like real outdoor cameras I had mine mounted higher than someone could reach but lo...

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good
I also have been using indoor cameras outdoors. I have 2 of these Amcrest Indoor Pan/Tilt Security Wireless IP Camera IP2M-841B ethernet wired, mounted outside to monitor the deer population. Prior to today both were supplied the required external 5 volts by a nearby power source but thanks to the a...

THANKS! That is exactly what I need. I have 2 wired Amcrest ProHD cams and having to feed them 5 volts was a pain.

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good
"Do you recommend the version with the 3.6mm lens or the 2.8mm lens?" This depends on your field of view. The 2.8 gives a field where the 3.6 gives narrower view but offers more detail. I think your Reolink's are 4mm which gives you about 80 degree wide. Google is your friend here with som...

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good
I have not tried any dome cameras due to their reputation for collecting dust which I suppose is mainly an outside mount issue. You did not mention bullet cams and I can tell you from first hand experience that spiders love them and will set off motion detection non stop. I do have 4 mounted outside...
