Re: Can no longer start as a service
Have you changed the password? If you have, right click the start button > computer mgmt > services & applications > services > blue iris service > log on > update the password. Is your Windows device domain joined or standalone (Workgroup)? If domain joined and/or in an enterprise, run a gpresu...

Re: 5.5.5.11 only sending 2 images to DeepStack
Same here. I wish the devs every success, the software is brilliant. I was happy to pay for 5.5.4.5 and consider it a bargain, I'll continue for my 1 year period to update and provide bug reports when I can.

Re: 5.5.5.11 only sending 2 images to DeepStack
There have been reports of erratic behavior with every update after 5.5.4.5 and I am not going to update until the next stable release. Unless there's a compelling reason, I advise beginner level folks do the same. Agreed x100000 for systems that depend on stability, consistency and reliability. Ne...

5.5.5.11 only sending 2 images to DeepStack
I'm using the January 2022 CPU build of Deepstack and finding BI5 has different behavior between 5.5.4.5 and 5.5.5.11. Lately I've been noticing DS not picking up many events. I have BI5 configured to send 8 images, 1 second apart to DS for analysis. 5.5.4.5 appears to send all 8 images at the right...

netcat on linux if you want to really get into it or angry ip scanner on windows for a pretty interface.

Re: Question about the allowed networks setting
I agree to make things as simple as possible, most home users shouldn't have a need for that feature. If anything, I'm surprised there's so much configurability in the BI5 application for networking. I tried to conjure up with a scenario above where the X-Forwarded-For could be relevant but just as ...

Re: Question about the allowed networks setting
What do you mean by the "VPN IP"? The VPN IP on a small network is usually on teh same subnet but on larger networks, often on a different subnet. I'll do a rudimentary deep-dive that misses massive design aspects but it should help you understand and it'll be a bit longer. In most network...

Re: Question about the allowed networks setting
Unsure how BlueIris uses X-Forwarded-For headers, but try unselecting that and trying again. I'm going to make a number of assumptions about how BI5 handles that checkbox ahead - X-Forwarded-For is used (from a network security perspective, usually by inexperienced developers) to identify known and/...

Re: 5.5.5.11 DeepStack: timeout
Can you browse to the DS web server instance (default is http://127.0.0.1:82 ) ? If not, open task manager > details > right click the labels at the top (eg Name PID Status CPU etc) > Select Columns > near the bottom select Command Line > OK For the "server.exe" process, you should see som...

Re: WHat does "Occupied" mean when using DS
@GatrSalr - what brand and model cameras do you have? Just in case you haven't found this bit of info, DeepStack needs "iFrame" images from the camera to analyze. If your cameras aren't sending iFrame images often enough, that might cause the symptoms you describe. Can you set the iFrame i...
