If your want to search through existing BI recordings, yes. It's called 'Test run video thru motion detector'. Not easy to use, but it does work. Just remember to save your camera settings first, so you can restore if you don;t like the new settings. This will not do what the OP is seeking. Running...

The op is clear that they want to search existing recordings for motion that occurred in a specific area of interest. So for example, if your camera faces the street and also covers your mail...
