Re: Windows 11 requirements - Bit of a shock !

If you aren't aware, Windows 11 requires at least a 7th-generation Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 2nd generation processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, TPM 2.0, support for Secure Boot. The only reason Microsoft had ever provided behind such strict requirements is the enhanced security for the ope...

Re: Deepstack not ready for prime time

I finally gave up on Deepstack. Though it did function for a time approximately a day after a system reboot it'd fail and just not analyze anything. Then I'd reboot, it'd work for a day, then have to repeat. So, I finally turned it off. Though it was nice that it could identify cars, trucks, dogs, p...

Re: Windows 11 requirements - Bit of a shock !

My laptop has been working fine, use it every few days but I have to admit I do find W11 being all white and so much brighter annoying in the evening, overall it’s just way too bright. I've been using Windows 11 on a laptop for about a month now. It runs everything I toss at it just fine, but I do ...

Re: Looking for tips on Hyper-V setup.

Hello everyone. I am setting up some cameras in my business and using BI5. I have a dell rack server (r720dx) running windows server 2019. When I set up BI on the physical machine the CPU usage is like 2-3%, when I set it up with just one camera ( cores, 6gb ram) on a VM, the CPU is usually at 100%...

Re: How is everyone implementing Deepscan for BI 5.4.x

Just my 2 cents . . . I'm running my 3 camera setup in a Virtual Machine on a i7-3770 with 5 GB of RAM dedicated to it. I have implemented DeepScan and it sees about 75% of the vehicles that drive by and identifies them as such. People walking by is only about 25%. It completely fails at face identi...

Re: Deepstack and static objects

I get that too. I have noticed that something else, such as wind blowing tree limbs, will set off the "motion" for BlueIris. It then hands off to DeepStack and it doesn't see anything but points out our cars (which haven't moved for hours or even days) in the driveway and declares "ca...

Re: Question about Windows10 Update 21H1

Just force applied the 21H1 update onto my system (a virtual machine) and so far so good.

Re: Anyone using 'Storage Spaces'?

I'm using Storage Spaces on a Windows 10 Pro box with "old fashioned" rotating platter hard drives.
I've never had any issues using them and always keep a weekly backup of my files if they should fail.
As long as your drives are the same size then it's a simple way to combine them.

Re: Privacy and Security Issues with Blue Iris Question

I think the concern is that if someone broke in they could access the PC and delete the video of them breaking in, so he wants to have the PC locked from tampering but have the screen still viewable. That's what hoodies and masks are for. In my community, if I was to provide law enforcement with a ...

Seems like if someone has broken into your house, them accessing your video cameras should be the least of your worries. Just saying.
